Orioles jumbotron animations

2016

The goal for this project was to create three animations that would be played on the jumbotron at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, where the Baltimore Orioles go for their Spring Training. Made during my sophomore year at Ringling for one of my animation classes, this piece was created as a looping animation that would reveal the Orioles logo through a tunnel designed as a series of abstract baseball diamonds.

This animation gives the idea of traveling through a tunnel, passing through three baseball diamonds until reaching the last diamond with the phrase "Home Run" being revealed.

This animation reveals the phrase "2 Strikes" after a baseball hits a giant "X" in the center of the frame, continuing the motif of the baseball diamond in the design.
