For one of my design classes at Ringling College, the goal for this project was to create a design package for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. My concept aims to call back to the early days of MTV when artists had more creative control. The design uses brush stroke and grunge patterns to represent the artists’ hand in their work and analog static to give the feel of old-school television sets. The design package includes lower thirds, logo animation, celebrity title cards, as well as off-air materials such as the red carpet background and apparel.
